Brass Annealing Service

Availability: 2 in stock
SKU: C10SRCAS

At Circle 10 Gunworks, we anneal your brass casings using state-of-the art induction annealing machines. Annealing soften the metal in the neck portion of your cases and thus at an optimal hardness level. Consistent hardness levels provides consistent neck tensions (interference fit), and increases the life of your precious brass. Therefore, it not only improves the quality of your reloads, it also help you save money. We also observed that frequent annealing will dramatically reduce, if not totally eliminates flyers we frequently see as reloaders.

How does it works ?

 1. First and foremost, you pack and ship the brass casings to us (see our contact page for our postal address).
 2. Upon receipt of your shipment, we will check the casings for defaults and provide you with a quote.
3a. If you accept the quote and proceed to the payment we will process your casings accordingly.
3b. however if you choose to reject it, we will return your brass within 10 business days.
 4. Your brass will be carefully packed and returned to you at no additional costs

In resume, you send us your brass, we analyze your cases and provide you with a quote. If you accept it, we will invoice you accordingly (see prices table below), we then process your brass and send them back to you. If you have bought something along with the annealing service, we will combine it with the ordered merchandises and ship them together.

Conditions

 • Cases must be properly cleaned, free of lubricants such as oil or graphite and unprimed.
 • Cases necks must be in good conditions, e,g: not split or severely damaged.
 • In some instances, one case will be sacrificed for analysis and will not be returned to you.
 • The provided cases must be listed in the supported cartridge (see "Supported Cartridges" in the additional information tab).

We reserve the rights to reject any brass casing that does not met the above conditions.

Brass Analysis

The annealing process may varies between brands, case capacity, and may also varies from lot to lot, therefore if we have not seen that particular case head before, we may need to sacrifice one of your case for analysis. We will of course indicates if it required or not during the quotation process. We do maintain an internal database of brass cases so we know how to efficiently process them, however from time to time, we have to perform manual analysis and it will result in the lost of a single brass casing; the later will not be returned.

Additional Services

We provide additional services you may be interested in for load development purposes:

 • Brass volume measurement - 5 CHF per analysed case
 • Neck wall thickness measurement - 10 CHF per analysed case

If you want such an optional service performed during the annealing service, simply add a note during the checkout process by stating what service(s) you are interested in and how many and which cases are concerned. We will provide you with a quote later on with all the details for your approval.
